Carmenere / Syrah / Grenache / Malbec 2012
Lahuen represents the higher expression of each vintage, in an assemblage born only under exceptional conditions.
Variety: 59% Carmenere, 19% Syrah, 11% Grenache, 11% Malbec
Ageing: 100% of the wine aged on new french oak barrels for 12 months
Cellaring Potential: 6 – 8 years
Viticulture: Carmenere grapes come from our vineyards located in San Clemente -Maule Valley- at the foot of the Andes in southern Central Valley.
This assemblage expresses accurately its terroir, the rest of Terra Noble’s vineyards, planted more than 25 years ago. The cool climate during maturity process, combined with rich clay soils and alluvial stones, deliver mineral notes. The outstanding ripening conditions of 2012’s vintage and a full maturity harvest allowed the grapes to show all its aromatic potential.
TASTING NOTES
An elegant wine, with good body, merged tannins and red fruits expression. Its ageing process in new French oak barrels delivers complex aromas, where soft spices and chocolate notes can be perceived. It is fresh and juicy on palate, where Grenache can be appreciated as it provides fruitiness and freshness
